This kindergarten through 8th grade school has over a 40% dropout rate. There are 8 teachers that serve 530 students. The school lacks basic supplies and the teachers are not properly trained to handle the amount of children they teach.

The school does not have clean or even running water. It also does not have electricity. With the efforts of One Hundred Pounds of Hope and donations from our supporters, we hope to change this difficult environment and improve the lives of these students and their families.

The goal is to build 6 classrooms and improve the conditions of this school. It will cost roughly $8,000 a room to achieve our goal. We are well on our way, but need the continued support of donations from the OPH community

As we come closer to accomplishing the new schoolhouse, complete with running water and essential school supplies, we look ahead to a broader vision. This vision will offer Battambang (and the nation of Cambodia as a whole) hope for a sustainable future, as the community itself will gain the skills necessary to build on its own successes.
